Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, I believe I was destined to be a business owner. After working for 16 years in the retail industry, I knew it was time to go on this adventure. And an adventure it has been!
In 1994, Great Alaska Monogramming was created. By the first quarter in 1995, I knew monogramming couldn’t be my sole source of income. I decided to purchased screen printing equipment, and changed the name to Great Alaska Monogramming and Screen printing. As you can imagine, that doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue! Being as most people paid with checks back then, my customers started shortening the name by writing GAMAS instead. Needless to say, within a short time, the name was officially changed to GAMAS Designs.
